Casual Dining, cozy atmosphere
Designed as a gathering space for friends and family, Brix 27 pairs old world ambiance with a modern flare. A fusion of casual sophistication in both culinary fare and atmosphere, every seat at Brix 27 feels like a cozy corner for conversation.
Located in the heart of Downtown Martinsburg, we offer a rotating wine list of over 45 wines that are dispensed in 1oz, 2.5oz and 5oz servings by our automated wine machines. In addition to wine, we have a variety of bubbles, ports, dessert wines, premium beers and spirits.
The Brix 27 experience includes genuine hospitality, where the staff extends a warm welcome to newcomers and regulars alike. With seating availability for up to 140 people, our first floor currates an ambiance of social interaction and wine exploration. On the second floor we offer private dining space for parties, special events, and group experiences.

For the by-the-bottle drinker in all of us, Brix 27 also offers a street-side boutique wine shop that carries all of our wine bar bottles, fun culinary accessories, locally sourced goods and a variety of creature comforts.

Our small plates are crafted to bolster sharing and pairing. Chef Christian and his culinary artists coordinate with our local farmers, allowing unique opportunities to craft seasonal menus that support local growers and push the culinary boundaries that downtown has to offer.
Chef Christian Evans grew up in the culinary industry in his native Vermont working in several small boutique restaurants throughout the Green Mountain State. “My mother was in the business and I’ve been working in the kitchen since I learned to walk.”
After perfecting his trade for more than 24 years in top restaurants in Maryland (Stone Manor Inn, Middletown), Virginia (The Restaurant at Patowmack Farm, Lovettsville), and West Virginia (The Country Inn at Berkeley Springs, Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races and Bistro 1840), Christian was selected to head the kitchen at the Final Cut Steakhouse. Christian has now taken over the position as executive chef/food and beverage manager at Brix 27, located in the heart of downtown Martinsburg, West Virginia.
With over 22 years of food and beverage experience, McLean has been fortunate to have worked with established and thriving restaurants in the local area. While still in high school, he started his career with the Bavarian Inn & Lodge in Shepherdstown, W.V., which boasts a wine list of over 1,200 bottles.
McLean spent more than a decade at the Bavarian Inn, working under the renowned Asam family as a back server, banquet server, and server. Within these roles, he enjoyed the responsibility of ensuring that guests received a premier wine experience.
In 2010, McLean left to open The Final Cut Steakhouse at Hollywood Casino, where he met Chef Christian Evans, and further cultivated his skill set and ability by working with yet another award-winning wine list. In 2017, he left to join Brix 27, again joining Chef Evans, to create and deliver a unique guest dining option to downtown Martinsburg, W.V.
With a hyper-focused background in relationship management and customer service, Erin focuses on all things experience related. As the front house manager of Brix 27, she ensures each guest is greeted with seamless service of a well rounded staff.
